Mr. Casillas is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Preferred Compensation Corporation, a leading corporate insurance, corporate benefits, consulting and brokerage firm based in New York City. The firm provides financial services, employee benefits, executive compensation, retirement programs, and insurance services to corporations and individuals worldwide. He is also President of Preferred Financial Corporation, a strategic advisory and financial services firm. He has served on the Board of Directors of the MAINZ Corporation as well as many others. He was elected by his peers as Chairman of the 9,000 member Life Underwriters  Association of New York. As a featured speaker at the Million Dollar Roundtable, the Association of America’s top financial services leaders, he delivered the landmark speech: Lady in the Harbor, a distinctly fresh view of America’s and democracy’s progress.. He has received the highest awards in his field for his service to the aims of ethical and professional practice.

As a national leader of the Republican Party, as a national leader in the financial services field and as a staunchly anti-totalitarian political advocate, his deeply held values are implicit in all that he has done to better our society and to serve his fellow travelers. He has overcome more obstacles than most individuals will ever face in their lifetime and has done so with courage, grace and fortitude.

Mr Casillas has enjoyed collaborative relationships with party leaders and with the top ranks of party supporters across the country, resulting in many successes. He worked closely on the campaigns of George Bush 41 and George Bush 43, and he has made his mark as chairman of several major events for the Republican Party since 1986. He served as Finance Co-Chair John McCain for President; as Finance Co-Chair Mitt Romney for President and was named a Delegate, NYSGOP, to the National Republican Convention, Tampa, Florida. He was an active leader in the successful campaigns of Rudolph Giuliani for Mayor of New York.

Presently, he is Finance Chair, New York State GOP, and is a Trustee of the Republican National Finance Committee and a member of the George W. Bush Presidential Center National Finance Committee. He has a key role in the well-known initiative, American Crossroad.

Mr. Casillas has a long list of volunteer activities in civic, educational and charitable causes and has been honored by many institutions. From 1994 to 2001 he was appointed to the Commission, City of New York Office of Protocol by Mayor Giuliani. Mr. Casillas is the recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor among many other civic and industry awards and recognition. He received The Sisters of Charity/College of Mount St. Vincent Humanitarian St. Vincent di Paul Medal and was the recipient of the American Legion “Americanism Award, and received the Rotary Club’s, “Paul Harris Award”. He served on the Board of Trustees of Wagner College.

A Manhattan resident for more than five decades, he left Cuba in 1962 with his family and has since raised two daughters.
